Column of 日中写真文化交流協会

設立当初からの目的でもあった東京と北京での交流写真展の第一弾として有楽町東京フォーラムに於いて日中共同の写真展を開催しました。参加写真家は07年とほぼ同じ日中の写真家で「2008中国」と題して中国で撮影した作品約１２０点ほどを展示しました。同時に中国から来日した６名の写真家を交えた「東京２４時」と題して撮りおろしの作品展も実施しました。
さらに日本のアマチュア写真家を対象に「中国らしい」をテーマに作品を公募してコンテストも行われました。
審査委員は齋藤康一氏、立木義浩氏、沼田早苗氏、榎並悦子氏、当NPOから望月久が担当いたしました。４名の先生方は全くのボランティアで審査いただき感謝しています。又中国で撮影された作品を快くこの日中交流写真展の為に展示させていただき厚く御礼申し上げます。

東京国際フォーラム会場

東京国際フォーラムで開催した内容と同内容の写真展です。
開催時期が北京オリンピック開催時期と重ね合わせ8月１日−３１日までの間、
多くの人たちに作品を見ていただき目的は果たされたと思います。

Tokyo, May - NPO Japan-China Photo Cultural Exchange Association (Hisashi Mochizuki / the chairman of the board of directors) announces the launce of the Group Photograph Exhibition ﾒCHINA 2008ﾓ starting on June 26 through July 02 at the Tokyo International Forum, as well as the exhibition at the Forbidden City in Beijing in fall. In this exhibition, about 200 images in China of various themes are exhibited with a large-scale panel photographed by about 30 of Japanese and Chinese photographers.

NPO Japan-China Photo Cultural Exchange Association was established in 2007 for purpose of deepening understanding between Japan and China for the contribution to peace through the photograph culture. In 2007, as a part of 「The Japan-China Exchange Year of Culture and Sports 2007」, Japanese and Chinese photographer`s joint photograph exhibition 「JAPAN 2007」 held at six cities in China, such as Beijing, Pingyao, Jinan, Chengdu, Shanghai, and Wuhan. It concluded quite successfully in about 70,000 visitors came to the exhibition.

In the year of Beijing Olympics 2008, China has been filled with energy and the hope that looked like at the beginning of event to the next age. It looks like the situation of Japan of the Tokyo Olympics at that time in 1964 filled the energy to ﾒDevelopmentﾓ. The photographer in Japan and China found value containing the age situation before and behind the Olympics in the photograph, trying to portrait of 「CHINA 2008」

It will be the first attempt on the photo history to hold photograph exhibition by Japanese and Chinese photographerﾕs joint works in Tokyo and Beijing (the Forbidden City) as the capital of Japan and China. Great expectations are drawn to deepening mutual understanding of people in two countries though this photograph exhibition, and becoming the beginning of a further exchange.
